Funky Cycle Compounds for Glasgow City Council!
Home Case Studies Funky Cycle Compounds for Glasgow City Council!
Falco has recently manufactured and installed a series of four bespoke cycle parking compounds for 3 Primary schools and 1 secondary school in Glasgow, following the succession of a competitive tender process. The funky FalcoQuarter cycle shelters were all painted in the individual colours chosen by the schools themselves!
Each compound can securely accommodate 21 scooters and up to twenty bikes using Toaster style cycle racks, one located on either side of the compound. Each shelter is made secure with a walkway cover and lockable gates and the use of a Locinox mechanical code lock. Branded vinyl graphics and distinctive powder coating in a RAL colour add the finishing touches to create an attractive cycle compound which will encourage students to commute to school by bike.
Falco provided a free surveying service plus full CAD drawings and design layouts to the council as well as full manufacture, supply, installation and printed vinyl graphics of all four cycle compounds. The cycle compounds also had wire mesh fitted for additional security underneath the extra thick polycarbonate sheets!
