New National Manufacturing Institute Scotland Headquarters Receives Creative Falco Cycle Hub

Home Case Studies New National Manufacturing Institute Scotland Headquarters Receives Creative Falco Cycle Hub

This is the eye-catching cycle hub Falco recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed for the new National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) headquarters in Glasgow this month.

Located near to Glasgow Airport, the cycle hub is part of a new multi million pound carbon neutral development for a flagship facility at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland in Renfrewshire.

Based on the flagship FalcoHub design, the 12m x 6m cycle hub is coupled with the FalcoLevel-Eco two-tier cycle parking system, providing 108 secure cycle spaces.

Falco provided the eye-catching branding design which was applied to the powder coated sendzimir perforated sheet cladding, promoting the use of cycling as an alternative method of transport to and from the ground-breaking facility.

In addition to the cycle hub, a bicycle silhouette statue was secured to the right side of the roof for additional branding.

The images attached show the new cycle hub addition, installed this month, next to the new 11,500m2 HQ building.

The cycle hub as shown here for NMIS is just one of hundreds supplied and installed by Falco across the UK. Other recent cycle hubs installations include ten cycle hubs for Avanti West Coast stations, four cycle hubs for Telford & Wrekin Council, a cycle hub for Rochdale Infirmary, a cycle huib for Stromness Travel Centre in Orkney, a cycle hub for Royal London Hospital and a cycle hub for Bradford Teaching Hospitals.
