Home Case Studies The Fifth Waltham Forest Cycle Hub Opens at Walthamstow Central Station Approach
The fifth state-of-the-art cycle hub for the LBWF Mini Holland programme has officially opened at Walthamstow Central Station Approach, providing additional secure cycle parking facilities to commuters within the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The sleek, stand-out cycle hub at Walthamstow Central Station Approach compliments the existing cycle hub facilities installed throughout the borough, including the first at Walthamstow Central, Leytonstone, Wood Street and Lea Bridge Road Stations, which have all opened within the last year and are the UK’s first interlinked series of community cycle hubs.
The new cycle hub at Station Approach provides cyclists with up 76 secure FalcoLevel-Premium+ Two-Tier cycle parking spaces and four cargo cycle spaces along with a FalcoFix 2.0 cycle repair station, information display, lighting, CCTV, secure access and branding graphics, all in a sleek and spacious FalcoLok cycle hub design with powder coating in the attractive Cycle Waltham Forest colours.
The design at Station Approach overcame the sloping ground conditions with an innovative step system of roofs which gives the facility a real architectural look.
The next station in the programme is James Street which we hope to deliver very soon in the Spring.
Members of the public can now register for a membership of all the hubs costing just £10 per person per annum which provides excellent value and enables all economic groups within the borough to have an affordable cycle parking facility.
