Home Case Studies The Seventh Waltham Forest Cycle Hub Opens at St James Street
The seventh state-of-the-art cycle hub for the LBWF Mini Holland programme has officially opened at St James Street Station, providing additional secure cycle parking facilities to commuters within the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The sleek, stand-out cycle hub at St James Street compliments the existing cycle hub facilities already installed throughout the borough, including the first at Walthamstow Central, Walthamstow Central Station Approach, Leytonstone, Wood Street and Lea Bridge Road Stations, which have all opened within the last year and are the UK’s first series of interlinked community cycle hubs.
The new cycle hub at St James Street provides cyclists with up 24 secure FalcoLevel-Premium Two-Tier cycle parking spaces along with an information display, strip lighting, formica and safety glass cladding and Waltham Forest branding graphics, all in a sleek and spacious FalcoLok cycle hub design with powder coating in the attractive Cycle Waltham Forest colours.
A membership for the use of all community cycle hubs has been in operation for over 12 months and has proven fundamental towards increasing cycling as a principal mode of transport within the Borough. Members of the public can register for a membership for £25 per person per annum.
