The £291m fund aims to improve infrastructure and provide better facilities for those who choose greener, healthier modes of transport. Transport for London’s (TfL) first ever Cargo Bike Action Plan was launched at the National Cargo Bike Summit in Guildhall, London, at the end of March, marking a milestone for the growth of cargo bike cycling within the capital. Under the new action plan, TfL will work with councils, businesses and freight industries to transform how deliveries and servicing journeys are made within the capital, by promoting the growth of cargo bikes and associated infrastructure and addressing the barriers that inhibit or prevent a shift from vans to cargo bikes. Falco cycle parking employees have raised over £200 in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK. The fundraising day at Falco’s head office in Staffordshire was filled with coffee and cake and Finance Manager, Netty Barlow, organised a raffle with fun prizes up for grabs, including jewellery, bottles of spirit, aftershave, a Pinch of Nom recipe book, toiletries and a classic tub of Cadbury Heroes! We are delighted that Falco’s HGV Driver, Simon Edge, has raised £320 for Cancer Research UK, by participating in the ‘100 Push Ups Challenge’ each day throughout November. The definitive bodyweight challenge is a real test of upper-body muscles, especially the chest, shoulders and triceps, which aims to complete 100 push ups a day, for a set period of time, which in Simons case, was every day throughout the month of November.
