Falco has donated a new buggy shelter to Home-Start Staffordshire Moorlands – a voluntary organisation providing free, confidential support for families across the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Home-Start approached Falco to see if they could provide a sheltered solution for the congregation of buggies increasingly parked inside the charity building. The team at Falco jumped onboard and worked together to provide a suitable product that can not only accommodate buggies, but also provide the charity with wheelchair storage and cycle parking too.
The new buggy shelter, worth in excess of £5,000, is based upon the FalcoPod Bike Hangar design, offering the charity with unparrareled buggy storage for staff and visitors to use when visiting the Leek based charity.
Eye-catching branding graphics have also been generously donated by Paul at The Edge Design.
Falco supplied and installed the new buggy shelter at the Charity’s Earl Street location in Leek on Monday 5th September. Pictured here are Sarah Thomas and Paul Humphreys of Home-Start and Bryan Duggan and Mark Wain of Falco UK.
Commenting on the donation, Sarah said “The buggy shelter is going to be a fantastic asset to us, it is offering space in the room which we use for our family groups, which was otherwise taken up with pushchairs. The room has been used today and with the rearrangement and the extra space, we are able to offer more activities to the children who come to our group. The feedback from the parents has been fantastic.
Falco’s Managing Director, Rob Harper, added “When I received the letter from the Home-Start Team, I was keen to help the community of our Town and the Charity itself. We are well aware of the great work that they do in the local area. At Falco, we pride ourselves on recruiting from our local population, but also contributing to the local spend. As a Team, we were all very keen to help out on this project. I would also like to give a shout out to Paul at The Edge Design, for his contribution towards the graphics on the Buggy Hub”.
Home-Start Staffordshire Moorlands is part of the national network of Home-Start schemes. The charity recruits and trains volunteers to help families with young children. Their volunteers, who know about being a parent, support other parents by visiting them in their own homes for a couple of hours each week.
