Falco cycle parking employees put their baking skills to the test and took part in the National Macmillan Coffee Morning on the 26^th September raising over £560 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The day was filled with coffee and cake with some fabulous creations including Rocky Road, Chocolate and Cranberry Flapjacks, Smartie Cookies and Raisin buns. A raffle was also organised to compliment the cakes with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.

The event was organised by Accounts Manager, Jeanette Barlow, who added “This year instead of running the Race for Life, we decided to eat cake instead. This meant that more of our colleagues could get involved with baking and supplying raffle prizes, instead of sponsoring the ladies to run at the Race for Life. This gave the event a more inclusive feel, and we also had some of our suppliers turn up to eat cake and drink coffee with us. Some of them were even lucky enough to win some of the donated raffle prizes, which included a Yankee Candle Hamper, Avon Toiletries Hamper, bottle of wine, chocolates and other goodies”.

Macmillan Cancer Support gives both practical and emotional support as well as valuable advice for people affected by cancer, right from the moment of diagnosis, through to the treatment and aftercare.
