Falco’s Finance Manager and longest serving employee, Jeanette Barlow, has graduated as a Chartered Management Accountant after four years of studying.

Jeanette began her Accountancy course with Falco back in September 2014 and studied part time at both Newcastle-under-Lyme College and Manchester BPP study centre. After 12 separate exams and hundreds of hours of distant learning, Jeanette finally became certified as a fully Chartered Accountant in October 2018.

In addition to becoming a Chartered Accountant, Jeanette was shortlisted for both the PQ Magazine Part Qualified student of the year 2018 and newly qualified Accountant of the year 2019.

Jeanette added “With the help of Falco UK Ltd, I have completed a study journey that started back in the 1980s when I first started work as an Accounts Clerk/Typist.

Over the years there have been large gaps between study years, but the final push to qualify was supported both financially and emotionally by Jeremy, the MD here and all the staff, who when I wanted to quit, talked me round and kept me motivated! Along of course with my family who cheered me on at home. So a huge thank you to everyone for being there for me.

I am very proud to say that I am now a qualified Chartered Management Accountant, my journey may not have been the quickest, but the qualification was  eventually achieved”.

Jeremy Green, Managing Director, added “This has been a real tough expedition for Netty and I am incredibly proud and delighted she has battled through it, it really is testament to her strength of character and determination to succeed. We are very privileged to have staff like this on board here at Falco and Netty is a great example to all who set out on a long journey and face the demands head-on with a willingness to succeed, an example to us all!”.
