Falco are delighted for West Midlands Trains when their Dudley Port installation took the award for ‘Best Small Sized Project’ at this year’s Cycle Rail Awards! Other Falco cycle parking projects at Huddersfield station for TransPennine Express, Cambridge CyclePoint for Greater Anglia were also nominated in three out of the overall four categories earning plaudits from the judges.

The annual showcase event took place in London’s Living Room, at City Hall on 15^th January and had keynote speeches from the Walking and Cycling Commissioner for London, Mr Will Norman and the Minister for Transport Chris Heaton-Harris who also presented the award to the WMT team.

The awards recognise the commitment, dedication and passion of all those involved in improving cycle facilities at rail stations across the UK and identify how Cycle Rail integration has become a great rail industry success story.

Falco’s installation for West Midlands Trains at Dudley Port Station, consisted of the supply and installation of 15m of FalcoRail cycle canopy, 66 spaces of FalcoLevel-Eco two-tier cycle rack and a FalcoFix 2.0 cycle repair station.

The works at Dudley Port are part of a roll out of new and improved cycle parking facilities to over 30 stations on the Abellio West Midlands and North Western Railway franchises. Two key products of the scheme are the tried and tested FalcoLevel-Eco two-tier cycle rack coupled with the open and spacious FalcoRail cycle canopy.
